St George's Golf & Country Club

Known initially as the Royal York Golf Club, St George's has obvious British connections, but it was one of the finest golfing architects to emanate from America and Canada, Stanley Thompson, that laid out the outstanding course. Carved into the Ontario landscape's beautiful woodland, St George's is a testing par 71 proposition that reaches just over the 7,000 yard mark.

The exquisite bunkering and subtle greens are predominant features of St George's, which has hosted four Canadian Opens, as well as five separate LPGA Classic tournaments. The lasting quality of Thompson's design will ensure that St Goerge's continues at the forefront of Canadian golf, and there is no doubt that this mature and traditional course is among the country's best.
