Stanley Park is one of the country's most admired public courses, and is certainly a recommendation for a golfing adventure in the holiday town of Blackpool. The city council manages the estate, which is home to a course designed by none other than Dr. Alister Mackenzie.

The man who penned the plans for Augusta National had a wide reach during his illustrious career, and Stanley Park is one of his less well known efforts. The landscape's gentle undulations are covered by a layout that stretches to 6,041 yards.
Though not particularly long, the course is an enjoyable and satisfying test, and one that is among the best that Blackpool has to offer.
