Just returned from a one night golf break at Stapleford park. First class accommodation, leisure facilities, great food, and marvellous golf = excellent value for money. Regards,

Stapleford Park's golf course is one of the most peaceful and tranquil to be found anywhere, being situated in the stunning Capability Brown gardens that surround the exquisite stately home. As the course winds around the house, it is never more than two holes wide, and the most threatening feature is the meandering River Eye, which comes into play on four occasions.

The superb landscape is characterised by the beautiful woodland, streams and ponds, all of which contribute to a truly incredible backdrop for both the golf course and the house itself.
Designed by Donald Steel, who has been involved with countless links golf projects, there is little surprise that there is a Scottish accent to Stapleford, with influences taken from the seaside; the bunkers are revetted, and there are few holes that run in the same direction, while it is also possible to chase the ball onto the green from the front, making it very playable for golfers of all abilities.
Among those to endorse Stapleford Park's credentials is Sam Torrance, Ryder Cup-winning player and captain, who believes the course to be one of England's best hidden gems. Set in the spectacular 500 acre estate, there can be few more luxurious choices for a fabulous golf break or corporate golf day.
Stapleford Park's Championship Golf course became the East Midlandsfirst European Senior Tour venue when it hosted the Handa Senior Mastersin 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Stapleford Park is one of the country's most exquisite stately homes, with a rich array of architecture, horticulture and history. The house and its gardens have a pedigree dating back to the 14th century, and the 500 acre estate is one England's most beautiful settings.
The highlight of the hotel is the range of guest rooms - every one is individually designed and furnished, with famous names like Coca Cola, Mulberry, Pirelli, Sanderson and Wedgwood among those to have lent their creative influence.
Visitors can choose the superb suite which they feel reflects their own personality best, making a visit to Stapleford Park a truly personal experience. If you can drag yourself out of the bedroom, the estate has some of the best leisure, dining and activity facilities around, in addition to Donald Steel's outstanding golf course.
The Spa at Stapleford Park is a high-end facility, specialising in cutting edge health and beauty therapy. Featured treatments are Indian head massage, aromatherapy, reiki, and reflexology for men and women, all complemented by the outstanding range of Clarins products. The leisure centre also has a state-of-the-art gym, a 22-metre swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and an outdoor sunbathing terrace. The colossal estate allows guests to try their hands at tennis, croquet, giant chess, riding, falconry, shooting, archery, off-road driving, mountain-biking and fishing.

Thanks Your Golf Travel for recommending Stapleford Park for our recent golf break.
I was extremely impressed by the Donald Steel golf course. It was a beautiful and very enjoyable course to play and although it was a parkland layout it subtle little hints of links about it. You could run the ball up the green or choose to pitch it straight on which made the round fun as you could be very inventive. The setting is stunning as well.
The accommodation is very impressive indeed. Outstanding guestrooms, dining and facilities including an amazing spa where we spent our time immediately following our rounds of golf. We enjoyed everything about our Stapleford Park golf break and would say it is an ideal location for a luxury golf trip at affordable prices. Having said that, the booze was fairly pricey...the only negative!
All concerned enjoyed their golf break at Stapleford Park immensely. So much so that I have been 'elected' to organise next year’s golf break away as well! We are looking for something along the same lines as this one but at a new venue and Your Golf Travel will definitely be our first port of call when the time comes to book it.
The course was great but for us older folks the walks between greens and tees were long. In fact, I wore a pedometer knowing this and recorded 6.5 miles rather than the normal 5ish. The use of buggies the second day was a great relief and something we will take into consideration on future golf breaks! Over 20 handicappers would probably have suffered a bit as the ability to draw and fade the ball helped enormously. Thankfully our handicaps are still lower than that and we all really enjoyed the challenging layout. We had an average handicap of around 13 and had all played to single figures in our youth.
The hotel was very good value and the members of staff were attentive and friendly. Overall the hotel was lovely and very well equipped to cater and care for some old boys on a golf break!
The Clubhouse was a little bit disappointing as there was limited food and no bitter.
Overall rating was about 9 which is much better than most so our expectations of YGT will be high next year! As for your service - could not really have asked for much more as you dealt with changes quickly and efficiently and were always easy to contact.
We had a fantastic time on our annual golf break so thank you Your Golf Travel, the organisation and price were superb. Stapleford Park is an amazing venue; I can't believe we secured such a 'bargain golf break' at such a prestigious golf course where the likes of Michael Jackson and several other 'A' list celebs have stayed!
The golf course was a real test but an enjoyable one for all levels of golfer. The food was outstanding and the private dining room topped it off superbly. I am definitely going to go back. Thank you for the recommendation!
Thanks for sorting things out for our golf trip to Stapleford Park. We had a great time as we usually do when we visit a venue as good as this! The golf course was fantastic and the rooms in the hotel were incredible. I think with normal rates it would have cost us in the region of £350 per person so the price Your Golf Travel quoted us was mind blowing! The only slight problem was that all of the beds were doubles and not singles, but the rooms were so amazing that I don't think anybody cared!
Everybody who came on the golf break is wants to do a similar golf trip again next year so I'll be in touch as I don’t see how anyone could beat Your Golf Travel for price or service.
Our golf break at Stapleford Park was fantastic. The golf course was top notch and the hotel and facilities were great! I’m not sure how I'm going to better that for next time so YGT will have to do some thinking! The Spa is awesome! The perfect place to go following a round of golf!
We're looking at having another golf break in April/May time and I thought Welcombe Hotel & Golf Course near Stratford upon Avon might be a good shout. What do you think? Either way we will definitely be back to book with YGT.
Stapleford Park was a great experience and good golf break. The House and the facilities were very impressive and could not be faulted in any way. The Staff could not do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was simply fantastic. The wives enjoyed their Spa treatments and its somewhere we will return to. The golf course was very daunting and challenging. Beautifully maintained and manicured. The ball had to be kept on the fairways or else forget it. Needless to say, the golf on day one was not to be talked about, but we did much better on day three with a decent score and a few pars to go with it.
Overall an enjoyable experience thanks to YGT.
We had a fantastic golf break at Stapleford Park. The accommodation was superb - Gardeners Cottage was a superb venue for our Captain's pre-dinner reception. (The whole party were together watching Mo Farah win the 5k)
The food is the best we have had on a golfing break and eating all together around the huge dining table was a memorable experience.
The course was ideal for mixed ability golfers - interesting but no holes too difficult for high handicappers.
Space in the golf pavilion is limited (we felt tables outside would have been ideal as we were blessed with good weather) and drinks were very expensive (£2.50 for small lime and soda and £3.80 for a pint of lager).
Location easy to find and well sign posted.
When I rang and spoke to Your Golf Travel my queries were dealt with promptly. Everything went according to plan so I would definitely use them again.
Stapleford Park is a stunning venue for a golf break. High quality hotel, in fabulous grounds, with the option for very fine dining. The champagne starts at £60 per bottle.
Interesting and moderately difficult course and modest errors not always severely punished. Some tight OOB. Played the course 5 times now, always very quiet.
Easy to find. 10 out of 10 for me.
YGT excellent service. Have used for 5 or 6 years, always spot on.
Stapleford Park was a perfect 2 night’s stay for Sheila and I on our golf break. The hotel is so impressive, the staff are lovely and the food is excellent. The spa facilities are good and the stable block which houses the treatment rooms is probably the most impressive part of the estate.Josh, at the club house altered our Tee times so we didn't get stuck behind a large golfing group. We finished our stay with a very pleasant visit to Melton Moubary.
The golf course is still quite new and will improve when the planted trees start having their effects. Its 6450 yards off the yellows and has five 400 yard plus par 4s and is a good challenge. The 1st hole is probably the only weak hole.
The price you got for us was so much less than we would have paid if we had booked with the hotel direct. I not only will, but do recommend YGT to my friends, so keep up the good work.
