The panoramic views around these parts are a delight but if you're staying at the Harp Inn you won't mind being inside either, especially in winter. This homely and welcoming establishment provides some of the best locally sourced food, cask conditioned real ales and wines available in the area. And let's not forget the roaring log fire, slate floor and oak beams.
The Harp Inn is deservedly mentioned in The Good Pub Guide, Good Beer Guide, AA Guide and many others. There are five lovely guest bedrooms, all with great views of the surrounding countryside, all of which have been recently redecorated to a high standard. They each have a television and tea and coffee making facilities. Some rooms have an oak four poster bed while they all have private or en-suite bathrooms.
The Inn keeps two real ales on hand-pump all year round, selected from a wide range of local breweries both on the Welsh and English side of the border, and some of the best independent breweries from further afield. There's also an extensive wine list.
The superb and extensive menu featuring traditional dishes using the finest local produce cooked to exacting standards. The desserts are scrummy too, with marmalade bread and butter pudding being our current favourite and worth a visit in itself!
