Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club

Venue-john-letters-banner

The 240 acres of parkland that play host to Tracy Park's two golf courses make for a stunning landscape, home to trees that are over 400 years of age. The two distinct layouts make this one of the best golf resorts in the South of England.

Golf courses

Crown Course

The Crown Course is an ideal resort track, being a relatively easy walk but also presenting golfers of all abilities with an appropriate challenge. This is the older and more established of Tracy Park's two, and features considerable obstacles, not least the mature woodland and threatening water hazards that guard the 6,252 yard layout.

Cromwell Course

The Cromwell Course makes the most of the mature landscape of Tracy Park's estate, but also benefits from the latest in technology, with the greens being constructed according to USGA specifications. With views across the Cotswolds, this is a charming place to play golf, but remaining focused is important, as the Cromwell is protected by a network of streams and lakes.

Tracy Park also boasts a superb driving range and a well-stocked professional's shop.

Be sure to hit it straight off the 15th tee - the hole is named ‘Eye of the Needle' for obvious reasons.

Hotel Information

Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club is centred in a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', and is one of the most fascinating destinations for a golf break in England's South.

The estate itself has a considerable legacy, having first been mentioned in the Doomsday Book, while the Cotswold limestone construction as it is today was inaugurated in 1808.

Tracy Park prides itself on creating an atmosphere that fosters relaxation, and setting visitors at ease with its traditional values of hospitality. The 17 en-suite bedrooms are extremely stylish, featuring chic and contemporary décor and furnishings, and are complete with feather bedding, luxury toiletries, flat-screen televisions, and free WiFi connectivity.

Some of the exquisite units are embellished by remarkable period fixtures, including four-poster beds and free-standing baths, which help to underline the high quality of a golf break at Tracy Park.

The dining room of the Oakwood Restaurant was once used for Masonic ceremonies, but is now famous for chef Mark Treasure's 2 AA Rosette cuisine. His speciality is roasting meat, game and fish on an imported Wood Stone.

The Manor in Tracy Park is a tasteful room, ideal for private dining for small and large groups alike.

I don’t know if you’ll recall but you kindly booked us in for a recent golfing break in Wales (The Vale) & Bath/Wick (Park Resort)-I just wanted to let you know they were both great! The golf courses, food, facilities etc. were just what we wanted. The Vale was enhanced (for me at least) by having the Welsh Rugby team there warming up for their success on Saturday. The Park upgraded us to a luxury four poster bedded room. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for oganising our event it could not have been better, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves even though I played like a wally. Everyone remarked that they will be returning to The Park some time in the future – it was that good. Again many thanks

The golfing weekend is now over and my husband informed me that the overall concensus was that the resort was very, very good. BTW, my husband enjoyed his room upgrade - thank you!Best regads,

The golf course was brilliant, two courses, great layouts for both, condition was great (greens very tricky and fast) and good for all golfing abilities, my partner plays off 31 and she beat me (I play 0ff 18) so I would say anyone but a complete beginer would enjoy. What can I say about the hotel? it was brilliant, that's what I call value for money! The food was superb, cooked to perfection, what I call posh nosh, hotel rooms that I would have payed double the price if I'd had to, Jenny my partner loved it, quality all the way, staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. The place lived up to and beyond my expectations. Your sevice has been great, all the info I needed when I needed it, we will be using your company again.Regards,

Thank you for booking Tracy Park for the night of 29th May. The hotel is a gorgeous old building and is set in a stunning location.

Our room was cosy and had all the furnishings and amenities you would expect form a top hotel. We even had a four-poster bed!

The restaurant was a very grand affair and the food was delicious. Having said that we were left a little peckish after our fine dining experience as we were two very hungry golfers! The food was beautifully presented and delicious but we just wanted more!

The courses were fantastic and provided a good test of golf. The trees and water hazards provide the main challenge so steering clear of them is a must. Once you have found the putting greens you are in for a treat as they are so smooth and pretty fast as well...a joy to putt on! We preferred the Cromwell course but the Crown course was very nice as well.

All in all, our Tracy Park golf break was a great success and we will be back in touch for our next golf holiday.

Thank you for your recommendation of Tracy Park for our latest golf breaks. Without doubt this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in during our many trips around the UK. The courses were excellent with fast running fairways and good greens. The entire resort was superb and have no hesitation in recommending the Park and your golf travel service. Thank you once more for your assistance in organising our society break.

We had yet another great weekend golf break at Tracy Park! We took some family members along for the ride this time with three non golfers making the trip. All of them seemed to have a great time anyway so kudos for the rest of the facilities at the resort.

The golf course stood up well to the recent bad weather and I was still able to use a buggy both days. The golfers in the group thought both courses were excellent and even the non golfers commented on how "pretty" it was before retiring for coffee!

Thanks for organising everything again Your Golf Travel. We shall return for future golf break bookings...hopefully sooner rather than later.

We had a very enjoyable golf break last week: Tracy Park golf course were both in good condition and had good variation of holes, par 3s particularly challenging, brilliant view from course 2, hotel certainly had character, accommodation was in lodges by hotel, small but fairly new and very modern, very good value for money and would re visit.

Carlyon Bay hotel was excellent, everything was top notch, staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, accommodation was superb and room had sea view, food was also very good and had choice of restaurant - best hotel we have stayed in on golf break. Golf course was in very good condition, challenging and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 rounds with a sea view - will be top of our list to re visit.
