QUEENS HOTEL HARLECH

The Queens Hotel in Harlech is one of those establishments that attracts lots of repeat business from small golfing groups, primarily because it offers a home from home feel and lots of personalised service.

You'll enjoy a warm welcome from Stuart and Nikki Lane, who've run the Hotel for the last few years, and its six rooms offering bed and breakfast accommodation are very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with TV, wash basins, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and, in some cases, views of the castle and the gardens.

Within walking distance of the Hotel is a magnificent unspoilt beach, Royal St David's golf course, tennis courts, Harlech Castle, a heated indoor swimming pool, while a little further afield are Caernarfon, a beautiful castle near the Menai Strait, and Portmeirion, an Italianate resort village on the coast that's famous for its use as the location of the television show The Prisoner.

When you're not playing golf, you won't mind being a prisoner here though. The Hotel boasts a pretty enclosed beer garden facing the stunning site of Harlech Castle, which seems to grow naturally from the rock on which it is perched. Other amenities include a bar serving traditional beers, family room, pool room, dart board and wide screen TV. Bar meals are also available all day.
