Voted Merseyside Hotel of the year 2006, Thornton Hall has been chosen by none other than the R&A as its headquarters when The Open Championships returns to Royal Liverpool Golf Club in 2014 and officials from golf's governing body will use the four-star hotel as their base for the entire week.
The Hotel, situated in the unspoilt hamlet of Thornton Hough, incorporates lots of modern comforts but still retains some striking original features, such as oak carvings and ornate ceilings.
