BULBURY WOODS GOLF CLUB
Despite only opening for play in 1989, Bulbury Woods is mature beyond its years as a result of a dedicated tree planting initiative. These trees form the predominant obstacle to good scoring, lining the fairways and ensuring that wayward striking is punished severely.
Although Bulbury Woods is relatively short by modern standards at 6,002 yards, the premium placed on accuracy makes it a tricky proposition, but the course is one that will undoubtedly be enjoyed universally. There are a number of dog-leg holes to negotiate, while the signature hole is the par-5 9th; from the tee visitors should take a moment to admire the stunning views of the Purbeck Hills and Poole Harbour.
