QUEENS PARK GOLF CLUB
Location: Queens Park West Drive, 2 miles NE of central Bournemouth, Dorset BH8 9BYQueens Park is located close to central Bournemouth, and is an extremely well established parkland layout. Founded in 1905, the golf course was formerly a regular feature on the PGA European Tour, and was the venue for numerous high profile tournaments, hosting famous names like Seve Ballesteros, Sir Henry Cotton and Tony Jacklin.
The days of professional championships may be over, but this is merely a by-product of the exponential advance in golfing technology that has rendered so many outstanding courses in the mould of Queens Park too short, and is in no way a reflection of the quality on offer.
The manicured fairways are shadowed by the towering pines of the estate, and are bordered by the colourful heather and gorse; when these are in bloom, Queens Park is a beautiful place to play golf, and is undoubtedly a highlight of any Bournemouth tour.
