MALAHIDE GOLF CLUB

Location: Malahide, Co. Dublin, near Dublin

Malahide Golf Club is one of the oldest in Ireland, having been formed in 1892, but its members have only been playing on its current site since 1990.

The 27 holes that are now in situ between the charming fishing villages of Portmarnock and Malahide were designed by Eddie Hackett, after the original layout was deemed unfit for the demands of members and visitors.

The gently undulating course can be comprised of any combination of the three nine-hole loops, and golfers will enjoy the challenge that is posed as the spectacular holes navigate the hardwood copses, ponds and rivers that are indigenous to the land.

The modern clubhouse is the perfect place to enjoy a pint of "the black stuff", as you look pack across Dublin to the hills of Co. Wicklow.
