St Annes is links golf at its very best, where the course is carved among the magnificent dunes of the coastline to the North of Dublin. Bull Island Nature Reserve in Dublin Bay is the setting for the golf course, and is actually a UNESCO protected site.
Stretched along the three mile beach are some truly stunning holes, which are the equal of the views back toward Dublin itself. Tight sandy fairways ensure the genuine links experience, while the overhaul of the golf course completed in 2003 means it is now better than ever.
St Annes is a demanding par 71 which is often beaten by the fierce winds whipping of the sea, but the views of the Wicklow hills, Howth Peninsula and Dublin Bay will more than make up for any lost balls. A fixture of the Dublin golfing landscape, St Annes is a fine addition to any golf tour around the vibrant Emerald Isle capital.
