Stackstown is best known as the home club of 2007 Open Champion, Padraig Harrington, and is one of Dublin's undiscovered joys. The course was opened in 1976, and was originally intended for use by the national police force, but it is now open to the public.

The lovely parkland course twists and winds through the mature woodland of suburban Dublin, which sets a lovely scene for a round of golf. The challenge is a varied one at Stackstown, which demands not only good ball striking, but also a sound short game and effective strategy.
Stackstown is a parkland gem that is an interesting alternative to the more famous courses in the area, and can be part of a memorable Dublin golf tour.
