Everything went very much to plan - no problems. The weather was fantastic for the time of year and as you may know Turnberry is one of the best venues for a golf break. Thanks for the arrangements and keep me informed of any other offers, particularly for golf in Scotland. We also need to arrange our annual golf day on the 26th August for probably 12-16 people ideally a venue suitable for non-golfers, say an option for shooting and fishing? Any suggestions most welcomed.
Best regards,
Douglas
We had a fab time. The weather was perfect – very cold but sunny almost the whole time. Two showers for about 5 mins each (one was hail stones though and it hurt!!!) Fab hotel, fab golf courses – so he tells me. I was in the spa so couldn’t care less! Thank you for being such a great company to book through – I will definitely use you again (especially now I have a voucher to start me off). Thanks again,
Melissa

What a weekend! Played some of my best golf around the Kintyre (5 over gross). Not so great the next day on the Ailsa (+2 net), but what a day. Not a breath of wind nor cloud in the sky. Will be with you again as usual when booking our next trip. Regards,
Rob Watson
Hotel excellent , The clubhouse grill has a great atmospehere – and good steaks. The Ailsa was fabulous – start to finish. Played it on a lovely afternoon without a breath of wind – it was fantastic , and truly a great course. Best regards,
Mike Scull
Our Scotland Golf Tour went really well overall, big plusses were the bus and the driver, awesome! The Turnberry hotel, Wildings Restaurant in Maidens (near Turnberry), Andy the driver’s suggestion, Kingsbarns, the most picturesque course of the week.

Turnberry proved to be the perfect location for a special 40th birthday golf break. There was a kilted Scotsman on the doors of the elegant hotel to take our bags and the fire in reception was very welcoming. We were upgraded to a sea view room which overlooked the golf course and we could watch the green keepers going out at first light whilst snuggled up with a cuppa in the enormous super sized bed!
The comfortable room was eclipsed by the bathroom with its stand alone bath, heated floor and fantastic overhead rain shower. Each evening a Piper played at the front of the hotel while we enjoyed a pre dinner drink. Dining was pricey but not prohibitively and having got a great deal on the accommodation we didn’t begrudge this one bit, especially as the staff were so friendly. The food was top class as well so actually the food was good value for money.
We were paired with another couple on the Ailsa Course which was not only a sociable way to play the round but also provided the chance to reminisce about the great golf course we had just played. The goodie bag on the first tee with a course planner and metal bag tag was a nice touch too!
We had no wind to contend with so the course was manageable even for a higher handicapper like me, although I would recommend staying out of the bunkers! The best views were on the Kintyre Course. The light house and rocky outcrops along the coast were as picture perfect as any promotional literature we’d seen and all in all our Turnberry golf break was one of the very best we have ever been on. Turnberry certainly lived up to its mighty reputation.

We had a fantastic time on our long awaited Turnberry golf break. The weather was brilliant on both days which was not expected! Two days of sunshine in Scotland in November=amazing! Both the Ailsa and Kintyre course are great layouts and are in mint condition. Although it may have been a different story if the weather had been less kind, neither was overly difficult and would be manageable, or at least enjoyable, for the majority of golfers. Free use of the driving range for a warm up, complimentary course planners and goodie bags were all very nice touches indeed and added to the overall experience.
Golf courses aside, the resort is simply stunning and we were very well looked after during our golf break. The hotel is splendid, food impeccable (best cooked breakfast I've had), rooms were big and spacious, and all staff members were extremely efficient and welcoming. My overall verdict would have to be 10 out of 10 as this was probably best hotel I have ever stayed in and the Ailsa Course was certainly the best golf course I have ever played! I think the views just give it the edge over Gleneagles which is also pretty special. Your Golf Travel’s service was perfect. The speed of response and efficiency have always been excellent and this golf break was no different. I have recommended YGT to many of my friends already and will continue to do so as I can’t see your product or service being topped by anyone else! Thanks again for a great memory...I'll always remember my 330yd, wind assisted drive 7th!

First of all I would like to thank Your Golf Travel for organising a truly memorable golf break at the Turnberry Resort. Both the Kintyre & Ailsa courses were in great condition for the time of year & luckily the weather gods were with us as we had two days of sunshine and hardly any wind! Even though we played the course in gentle conditions the higher handicappers in the group struggled on the Ailsa thanks to those devilish pot bunkers!
We found the prices in the clubhouse very reasonable seeing we were at one of the top venues in the world & thought the view was one of the best we had ever seen! The staff in the pro shop were great and made us feel relaxed...always nice when you’re heading to the 1st tee! They supplied us with course planners free of charge & told us where to pick up our free range balls. All in all the golf side of Turnberry is top class...a well oiled machine!
The hotel is fantastic with food to match! Drinks were a little on the expensive side but you have to expect that in a top class 5* hotel. All the lads said that the beds were the most comfortable they have slept in. In fact...this was probably the best hotel any of us had ever stayed in!
Thanks again for booking our golf break...we can’t wait to book next year’s trip and will certainly be doing so with Your Golf Travel. Carnoustie here we come!
