Although Kenmare only became a full eighteen-hole venue in 1993, it is actually one of the region's most established golfing institutions, having been founded in 1903.

The Roughty River estuary and the valley of the same name set the scene for a delightful golf course, with the surrounding mountains rising in the background. The course is parkland in style, with banks of delightful mature woodland adding beoth definition and beauty to the layout.
Kenmare is known as a pretty tough test for skilled golfers, but it remains an appropriate challenge for the average player. Designed by the great Eddie Hackett, the course is a gem of the south-west, and although County Kerry is littered with phenomenal courses, including Kenmare in your next golf tour of this corner of the Emerald Isle will not disappoint.
