Despite being called Delamere Forest, it is not a woodland course in style; rather, the excellent layout spans a splendid area of heathland. The layout was devised by W.H. Fowler, the man who also penned the plans for Walton Heath’s Old Course, and features a number of blind drives and dog-legs around the natural undulations of the landscape.
Often used for Cheshire County Championships, Delamere Forest is a course of great maturity, and one whose reputation is richly deserved. In partnership with other local delights like Sandiway and Northop Park, Delamere Forest lies at the heart of a tremendous golf tour in Cheshire.
