The Rose Hall Resort spans land that in the 18th century was a sugar plantation, and is now a luxurious and comfortable luxury holiday resort.
Nestled between Montego Bay's towering mountains and the sublime Caribbean Sea, the accommodation reflects the character of the resort as a whole; this is where history and tradition collide, and as such, the inherent heritage and charm of the landscape is evident in the guest rooms and suites, which are also fitted with the requisite modern amenities and facilities. Montego Bay, in Jamaica's north, may be a bit rough around edges, but is not riddled with the violent crime of Kingston, and is a fascinating example of urban mountain dwelling, rising above the bustling coastal strip. Around the island, the beaches are king, but visitors should certainly make time to scale the Dunn's River Falls, a striking example of the natural beauty of Jamaica's interior.
