CITYWEST HOTEL, CONFERENCE, LEISURE & GOLF RESORT
Location: Saggart, Co. Dublin, 10 miles SW of Dublin city centreCitywest is fortunate to offer two fantastic golf courses, both designed by the esteemed Christy O'Connor Jnr. Set within 300 acres of stunning countryside, and within striking distance of Dublin city centre, Citywest is a superb all-round venue for a golf break.
Championship Course
O'Connor's Championship Course is an excellent test, built according to the classic design principles of parkland golf. Visiting players will be tested by the length of the course, and the imposing water features and bunkers, but all will enjoy the manicured fairways and greens of this beautiful creation.
The highlight is the outstanding closing hole, named ‘O'Connor's Pass', where the task is to thread your drive through an avenue of mature trees, before negotiating the massive water hazards to the left of the fairway and in front of the green. This is a truly magnificent finishing hole.
Lakes Course
The Lakes Course, featuring its various water hazards and some impressive bunkering, offers visitors an enjoyable test, and perhaps some welcome respite from the challenges of the neighbouring Championship Course. Though not long, the Lakes is fraught with danger, and can punish severely those who are too greedy.
