WEST LANCASHIRE GOLF CLUB
Location: Blundellsands, Lancashire, 13 miles South of Southport, 8 miles NW of Liverpool L23 8SZWest Lancashire is one of England's oldest clubs, having been founded in 1873. The course itself is a traditional seaside track, where the elements are all-important in determining the course's character, which can change greatly from day to day.
11 holes at West Lancashire are over 400 yards, making solid striking absolutely essential for those who have aspirations of good scoring. The undulations, particularly around the putting surfaces, many of which are raised on plateaus, are the main challenge around here.
The superb clubhouse affords panoramic views across the 9th and 18th greens to the Mersey, Anglesey and the Welsh Hills, and the balcony is the perfect place for a deserved beer after tackling the links.
