THE GLEN GOLF CLUB

Glen Golf Club is one of the most popular seaside courses, which was established in 1906 when Ben Sayers and James Braid were commissioned to extend the existing nine to the championship 18-hole layout, in situ today.

Though not greatly long at 6,300 yards, Glen is a tough test with a standard scratch of 70, and is incredibly picturesque as it winds its way along the rugged coastline above the Firth of Forth. The highlight is undoubtedly the little par-3 13^th, where the challenge is to find the postage stamp green, perched just a hair's breadth from the sand and sea.

Often in the shadow of its neighbour, the West Links, Glen is certainly underrated, and its genuine charm make it an essential component of any golf break in East Lothian.
