VALLE DEL ESTE GOLF RESORT 4*
Valle Del Este is a spectacular new resort course designed by Jose Canales, and is a welcome addition to the golfing landscape of the Almeria province. Golf here is in the classic resort style, with generous fairways and large, receptive greens.
At 6,255 yards, Valle Del Este is by no means the longest course around, but it has a fascinating variety of distinctive holes that are guaranteed to test every facet of your game. The course has been carved out of the desert, and approaching the greens golfers will often have to carry large expanses of sandy wasteland. The enormous putting surfaces allow for a great variety of pin positions, which can make every hole play in a number of distinct styles.
The idyllic landscape makes Valle Del Este a stunning location, and there are times when the blue hues of the Mediterranean are visible in the distance from this terrific resort course. A number of notable regional and national tournaments have been contested at Valle Del Este already, despite its youth, and a visit here comes highly recommended.

Valle Del Este is an expansive resort, set across some 108 acres of Almeria's desert land. The hotel is a low rise construction which is extremely contemporary in style, both inside and out, especially the interior which is bedecked with the most tasteful modern décor and furnishings.
The hotel has a total of 142 rooms, including 12 spacious and luxurious suites. All have a terrace with views over the golf course and/or the coast, and inside are fitted with satellite television, high-speed internet access, mini-bar, air-conditioning, telephone and safe deposit box. Valle Del Este is an all-encompassing resort with excellent facilities, but is also fortunate enough to be situated within easy reach of the stunning mountain villages, as well as the pictureseque beaches and villages along the coastline, allowing you to spend some time exploring the area.
The region is blessed with endless hours of sunshine, making it the ideal destination for a golf or leisure break under the sun.
There is a nearby beach club, open throughout the day, where you can relax with a beer or lounge around in the sunshine. The town of Almeria is well worth a visit, particularly to see the historic Moorish fortress, which in its prime could hold up to 20,000 soldiers. The ‘street of shops' (Calle de Las Tiendas) does exactly what it says on the tin, while the bustling central market is the place to experience some genuine Spanish action. The historic quarter runs from Puerto de Purchena to the port, and is packed full of stunning colonnaded squares, a fortified cathedral and countless tapas bars where you can enjoy a beer and some traditional fayre.
Valle Del Este has a comprehensive golf academy, where the facilities - including a large range and an extensive short game area - give you the ideal opportunity to sharpen your skills.
La Estancia is Almeria's most famous steak restaurant, where the finest Argentinian beef fills the menu. For some late night action, head for Café del Arte, where local DJs play funk and electronic sessions on scheduled night.
