The Bassussarry course at the Makila Golf Club is a star of the Biarritz golfing landscape, predominantly due to the excellent golf course created by American architect Rocky Roquemore. The creator has succeeded in assimilating a superb layout into the stunning environment without causing any damage to the beautiful surroundings, ensuring that the Bassussarry course is a joy to behold.

From the back tees, Makila Golf Club’s course reaches close to 6,600 yards, and traverses the hilly terrain that is peppered with lovely woodland. The par-72 proposition achieves the perfect balance for holiday golf, presenting a decent challenge to the more accomplished players, while remaining thoroughly enjoyable for the average visitor.
When coupled with the likes of Le Phare, Moliets and Seignosse, it is easy to see why so many avid players head to Biarritz for a golf tour in the sun, and the Bassussarry course is certainly an important part of this superb golf holiday experience.
