The superbly equipped Dolce La Hulpe resort has a state of the art leisure centre, featuring a delightful swimming pool, sauna steam room and hammam therapy. The fitness centre is the place for a work-out, or alternatively treat yourself to one of the indulgent health and beauty spa treatments. There are two tennis courts, as well as a sun terrace, making Dolce La Hulpe a great venue for the non-golfer as well.

Just a short drive is Belgium's capital and the European Union headquarters, Brussels. The charming medieval city is dominated at its centre by the Grand Place, an imposing 15^th century market square whose highlight is the Gothic Hotel de Ville, the only building to escape bombardment by the French in 1695. There are chic boutiques galore, while you should be sure to visit the Musées Royeaux des Beaux-Arts, stock up on pralines at the renowned Pierre Marcolini, and certainly sample some of the local beers. Any travelling war historians should be sure to visit the battleground at Waterloo, where Napoleon was defeated in 1815.

The best way to experience Belgian beer is to head to one of the specialist beer pubs - Bierhuis Kulminator and ‘t Brugse Beertje are two of the best places to taste award winners like Westmalle Triple and Delirium Tremens.

Jacques is one of Brussels' enduring favourites - seafood is the theme and moules frites is the speciality.

Dining at La Hulpe is an experience; choose from the gourmet restaurant or the more relaxed brasserie menu.
