Since it opened in 1974, Monticello has emerged as a star of northern Italy's golfing landscape, and has already hosted 4 Italian Opens. There are two 18-hole championship courses, and with its location within easy striking distance of both Milan and Lake Como, it is a real favourite with travelling golfers.

Rosso (Red) Course
The Rosso - or Red - Course, is regarded as the premier layout at Monticello, and while it presents a good test for the low handicappers, it should not overawe the average player. Many of the holes are bordered tightly by impressive woodland, while there are also some demanding water hazards.
Blue Course
The Blue Course may not be quite as exacting as its neighbour, but it still packs a decent punch. Also worth noting is the fact that both courses are maintained to the same excellent standard. Rounded off by magnificent alpine views, it is no surprise that Monticello is among the most prestigious golf holiday courses in Northern Italy.
