Within easy reach of Birmingham is the Fulford Heath Golf Club, which despite not being well known nationally, is one of the best in the West Midlands. Founded in 1933, Fulford Heath is a mature and established golfing venue that makes a superb addition to any Birmingham golf tour.

The course itself is the result of the imagination of the great James Braid, the man responsible for so many of the great layouts of the United Kingdom. Mature trees line the layout’s three lakes, while the River Cole makes a nuisance of itself on more than one occasion.
Subtlety of design is typical of Braid, and the Scot’s par 70 creation at Fulford Heath is a perfect example. Both entertaining and challenging, Fulford Heath is a true West Midlands gem.
