Worthing Golf Club occupies a privileged position on the Downs, and is home to two terrific golf courses that are among the south coast’s most fascinating. The Lower Course is the star turn at Worthing, and is the club’s championship layout. The original 1905 course at Worthing was redesigned by the great Harry Colt, and the resultant parkland course is a real gem.

Colt’s subtle design is certain to test even the most skilled of golfers, with creativity and guile being equally as important as power. Colt’s remit also included the formulation of Worthing’s second golf course; the Upper Course is laud out on the higher ground, and although it is considerably shorter than its more illustrious sibling, it is highly entertaining.
Not only does the club boast an enviable golfing complex, it also has truly amazing natural surroundings, so be sure to include Worthing in your next golf tour around Brighton and the south coast.
