DRAGON HOTEL SWANSEA

My three golfing pals and I would like to thank Your Golf Travel for organising our recent golf break to Swansea.

Everything was organised quickly and efficiently. Leaving it to professionals really takes the stress and hassle away from the booking process. The Dragon Hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay there again on future golf tours. As expected though the bar was a bit pricey so we wandered into Swansea for the night which was great fun.

We were to play at Pennard Golf Club on the Saturday and upon arrival we were greated by friendly members and a really nice guy in the pro shop. The golf course was immaculate and the views were simply stunning. This is one of the best golf courses I have ever played and has inspired me to return to the South coast of Wales for an extended links golf tour.

Our round at Fairwood Park was the day after our night out in Swansea so with a bit of a hangover we teed off on what was a totally different proposition to Pennard. Fairwood Park is a lovely Parkland course on which we faired a bit better despite the hangovers! This is the type of course we are used to and it was fun to play.

All in all our golf break in Wales was a great success and we are looking forward to booking a golf tour there in the near future. We will 100% be coming back to Your Golf Travel and will be recommending you to other golfers at our local golf club.

Our golf tour of Wales was very successful in all ways except for the weather! The weather was difficult a lot of the time, particularly at Machynys Peninsula and Pennard where we fought against gale force winds! We all enjoyed the golf courses you had recommended and they seem to get better and better as the weekend went on. The first 9 holes at Pyle and Kenfig were the least interesting although that’s not to say they were dull! Ashburnham was excellent and both Machynys and Pennard were simply spectacular.

The pro shop and clubhouse staff in every golf club were very helpful and attentive and apart from a small issue early in the morning at Ashburnham everything ran smoothly. We have now played 8 golf courses in that area and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The Dragon Hotel is ideal and serves a golfers purpose very well indeed...the perfect base for a Welsh golf tour.

The entire group’s overall opinion of the golf tour was excellent...we just hope the weather is better next time we book a golf break with Your Golf Travel as this was literally the only negative point!
