Just ten minutes from the coastal resort town of Deauville is the Golf Barrière de Saint-Julien complex, where you can enjoy golf in the most beautiful country environment.
The main event at Saint-Julien is Le Vallon, the excellet championship course. Unlike many of Northern France's coastal courses, Le Vallon has the distinct feel of an American resort course, and will certainly favour the long hitters. The 6,638 yard course is not the most difficult in the local area, but the speed of the greens is renowned, so a tight short game is essential.
At the heart of the stunning Pays d'Auge countryside, Saint-Julien also has a tricky nine-hole layout. Le Bocage's par-33 track is the perfect practice ground for budding stars, while those looking to wind down their golfing careers will be equally at home.
