Location:
Avenue du Golf, Hardelot, 14 miles North of Le Touquet, 34 miles SW of Calais.
Golf Courses:
Golf d'Hardelot celebrated its centenary in 2006, and is part of Northern France's golfing elite, with two top class championship courses, making it a popular golf break destination. As its name suggests, Les Pins is carved through Hardelot's magnificent pine forest, and the course has a rich tradition. Originally presided over by the Duke of Argyll, there is a strong British link at this French classic, but the course really came to the fore with Tom Simpson's 1931 redesign. The host of many prestigious national and international professional events, Les Pins is a subtle course that demands accuracy and sound strategy above all else. Measuring 6,480 yards, the course is not long, but the greens are tricky and a tight short game will be needed to tame this established championship layout.
Les Dunes is Hardelot's second course, but since its inception in 1990 has been a welcome addition to the region's rich golfing portfolio. Designed by Belgian architect Paul Rollin, Les Dunes typifies the Côte d'Opale landscape, set amid the delightful dunes, lakes and mature woodland. The 6,258 yard layout is distinctly different in character to its illustrious neighbour, but this diversity makes Hardelot all the more attractive. Watch out for the subtly sloping putting surfaces, closely guarded by strategically positioned bunkers.

The 115 bedrooms are beautifully appointed, and are designed to marry the principles of traditional style and modern functionality. Striking pieces of period furniture are dotted throughout the hotel, including a number of chairs designed by Jules Leleu, a master of the Art Deco period. This special hotel is a classy central option for a golf holiday, where you will enjoy the grandeur that first put Le Touquet on the map.
