Set in the heart of a magnificent 200-acre estate, the Hotel and Spa de la Bretesche is without doubt one of the most grandiose destinations for a golf holiday in France.

Bordered by ancient towering trees and banks of immaculate rhododendrons, the hotel is a tasteful conversion of a 15th century chateau, perched on the banks of a lovely lake.

There are 31 rooms and suites housed inside, producing an intimate and exclusive atmosphere at what is a venue for the discerning golfer. With unrivalled natural beauty enveloping the entire estate, there are few more impressive destinations for a golf holiday than Domaine de la Bretesche.

The luxurious spa offers specialist treatments that include aromatherapy, reflexology and relaxing massages, while the leisure complex also features a jacuzzi and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There are outstanding beauty treatments on offer, while the estate offers tennis, mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, hunting and more.

The medieval town of Guérande has a fascinating history, and is surrounded by a protected national park of salt marshes. The coastal town of La Baule is a popular holiday destination, and is famous for its 12 kilometre long sandy beach.

Gastronomy is an important facet of any trip to La Bretesche; from the resident sommelier to the exquisite terrace, the a la carte experience is special from the first minute to the last; Le Montaigu has been awarded a star by the Michelin Guide.
