The two loops that constitute Mottram Hall's Championship course are a credit to their designer, the revered Dave Thomas.
It is reasonable to say that the front and back nines have very little in common; the first half encounters fairly flat terrain, and the obstacles are sparse, yet enormous trees, while the second nine is densely wooded. On the way home, the course cuts its way through the trees, and is considerably more undulating, while the large greens are guarded by cavernous bunkers.
At over 7,000 yards from the championship markers, Mottram Hall is a formidable test and will challenge all facets of the game. After your round, relax in the newly refurbished clubhouse, which serves drinks and light meals in a relaxed atmosphere.
