Linden Hall has a superb resort course, whose parkland layout will be enjoyed by all those who visit, whilst remaining a genuine challenge for even the best. Some excellent holes have been carved out by designer Jonathan Gaunt, who has used the indigenous landscape to create natural hazards.
Threatening woodland and intimidating water will pose a challenge, but good strategy and accurate hitting will definitely be rewarded. Those not scoring well need not despair however, as the course's location affords spectacular views over the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland's stunning coastline.
In the midst of Northumberland's idyllic park and woodland sits the Linden Hall hotel, a converted Grade II listed country house. The building itself is truly enchanting, and guests will enjoy a warm and peaceful atmosphere, in addition to extremely comfortable lodging.
The Georgian construction may date back to 1812, but the interior of the hotel is equipped with all the modern amenities required to guarantee relaxing accommodation.
The tranquil atmosphere should allow guests to unwind, while the leisure facilities and dining options complete the full package, and emphasise Linden Hall's quality as a golf break destination.
Vital Beauty at Linden Hall has a range of health and beauty therapy on offer, and specialises in tailoring treatment plans to the individual requirements of both men and women. The therapists are fully trained to deliver expert treatments, all designed to relax, de-stress and refresh. In addition, guests can take advantage of the swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and well-equipped fitness centre.
Within a short distance of Linden Hall is the rugged Northumbrian coastline, home to now-ruined castles at Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, and Tynemouth, which once dominated the local skyline. Visitors are also well-advised to visit Hadrian's Wall and the many forts which memorialise the northernmost reach of the great Roman Empire.
The demanding 4th is the signature hole at Linden Hall, where brave golfers must carry the ball over water to a green that is tightly guarded by trees.
Dining at the Dobson Restaurant is a memorable experience; with two AA Rosettes, it is one of the best dining rooms in the area, boasting an exquisite menu of classic dishes.
Linden Hall has its very own pub, the Linden Tree, which offers home-cooked meals and a range of quality ales and beers.
