Shaw Hill's beautiful parkland golf course is laid out around the outstanding Georgian house, and the mature layout will be enjoyed by all those who visit. From the back tees, even the best players will face a stern test, as the course meanders through the stunning undulating grounds.
The main difficulty comes from the numerous lakes and streams that traverse the course, making accurate hitting of the utmost importance. The signature hole is the tough 8th, a par-4 where the golfer must avoid the threatening water hazard that guards the green. This hole epitomises what golf at Shaw Hill is all about: strategy and patience are far more valuable traits than muscle or brawn.
