The Vila Galé Tavira is a great family destination, as it has the Nep Kids Club, a games room, children's playground and splash pool. There is a large outdoor swimming pool, while inside the hotel you will find the Satsanga Spa, whose facilities include a heated indoor pool, Turkish bath, jacuzzi and gymnasium, and is also the place where you can enjoy health and beauty treatments.
The lovely fishing village of Tavira is characterised by traditional tiled façades and a network of beautiful cobbled streets. Tavira has a rich architectural landscape; the best of the town's 30 churches is the Igraja da Misericórdia, while the skyline is dominated by the ancient castle ruins. The best place to enjoy the Algarve's legendary sunshine is the Ilha da Tavira, an island beach that is accessed during the summer months either by a ferry or a 2km walk. As a traditional fishing village, Tavira is also bursting with outstanding seafood restaurants, which take full advantage of the local catch.

Tavira's best restaurant is Patio, an exclusive dining room whose speciality is octopus and bean stew.
