The Green Hotel is situated next to Kinross Golf Club, and guests have the opportunity to take advantage of its two fantastic courses, the Montgomery and the Bruce. Both courses afford spectacular views across Loch Leven.
Montgomery Course
The Montgomery is widely regarded as the first course at Kinross, with a testing par-71 layout. Formerly known as the Blue Course, the holes wind their way gently across the unspoiled countryside, but challenging holes including the 450-yard 18th ensure that the golfer will face a stern test.
Bruce Course
The Bruce is recognised as the second course at Kinross, but it should not be taken lightly. It may be slightly shorter than its neighbour, but with no less than four par-5s, the long-hitters will fancy their chances.
Golfing at Kinross fits in perfectly with the tranquil, classically traditional atmosphere of a stay at The Green Hotel.
The Green Hotel was formerly a popular haven for those travelling north on the coach route from Edinburgh in the eighteenth century, and the privately-managed establishment still maintains its reputation for excellent and personal customer service.
Located close to Loch Leven, the 46 en-suite bedrooms, including two four-poster bedded rooms and four family suites, all retain the intimate charm evident throughout the hotel. Most rooms look over the manicured gardens or the courtyard, complete with a beautiful fountain.
The hotel is also in the enviable position of being within a short walk from the two well-respected golf courses. With fantastic access to Edinburgh, the Green Hotel is an ideal weekend getaway, guaranteeing a great standard across the board for accommodation, dining, leisure and golf.
The Green Hotel boasts an enviable list of leisure facilities, ensuring guests will never struggle for something to do. The large heated swimming facility has a poolside lounge, while the more ambitious can try curling, on one of the four on-site sheets. Outdoor summer pursuits include tennis, petanque, croquet and putting.
