It is a quiet area only 24 minutes from Marbella and 12 minutes from Fuengirola, but enjoys breathtaking views out over the coast and is in the middle of a golfing wonderland with courses such as Mijas, La Cala, Torrequebrada and Alhaurin all within a short drive.
Mijas Costa is a good place to base yourself for a trip to experience the Costa del Sol's golfing delights. This is a small, charming town with a good centre with small supermarkets, shops, banks, car rental, and plenty of bars and restaurants and most of the town is within walking distance.
The well-equipped air-conditioned rooms at the VIK Gran Hotel Costa del Sol have a terrace and views out over the sea. The hotel offers several on-site facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool by the beach, TV room, Internet point, reading room and a full entertainment programme. Guests can also enjoy the exclusive buffet restaurant and the nice pool bar.
Although very large, the hotel design absorbed the number of guests with ease. At no time did it feel overcrowded.
