Vista Vallarta was completed in 2001, yet it has already gained a reputation for being one of the best golfing centres in Mexico with two great courses, one by Jack Nicklaus and the other penned by Tom Weiskopf.

Puerto Vallarta has long been a focal point for visitors to the Mexican Pacific coast. Its legendary beauty, grand sunsets, regal Sierra Madre mountain ranges, friendly people, art history, and now world-class golf have made this location an even bigger draw.
Vista Vallarta is built into the rolling terrain of this striking region, which nudges up to Mexico's Pacific coastline. Golfers are treated not only to world class golf but breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta, the Marina and Banderas Bay, as well.
The 7,073-yard, par-72 Jack Nicklaus signature course features gently sloping hillsides, dense forests of palms and giant ficus trees, with natural creeks and arroyos. The par-72 hole Tom Weiskopf Signature Course, meanwhile, may be slightly shorter at 6,976 yards but it is no less of a challenge, being built through dense jungle, around deep ravines and swift creeks.
The courses here have already gained international recognition - Vista Vallarta hosted the 2002 World Golf Championship EMC World Cup. Recently both golf courses were ranked in the Top 10 for Resort Golf Courses in Mexico by a panel of experts. And in recognition of its outstanding design, the Editors of the prestigious Golf Digest Magazine in the US, and its national panel of course raters, named the Nicklaus Course here number 79 among the ‘100 Best Golf Courses Outside the United States'.
