The Wales Open will return to The Celtic Manor in 2009, with the high profile tournament scheduled for the last week in May. 2008's championship saw Scott Strange cruise home with a 64 on the last day including 7 birdies & no dropped shots. The Wales Open, albeit a prestigious event in its own right, is a showcase for The Celtic Manor to exhibit its capabilities in preparation for the 2010 Ryder Cup, which will mark Wales indelibly on the world golfing map.
