With 27 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus, golfers are truly spoiled at Westin La Paloma. Immaculate conditioning and a uniquely challenging layout that will appeal to a great range of golfers will keep you on your toes from the 1st tee to the last and with the beautiful Sonoran desert serving as a spectacular backdrop, a day on the fairways will be an enjoyable experience even if your golf isn’t up to scratch.

Managed by Troon Golf, the Hill, Canyon & Ridge courses are nestled in the picturesque Catalina Mountains and have won a whole host of national-level awards.

Like many Nicklaus designs, there is plenty of room off the tee at La Paloma with only severely wayward tee shots finding their way into the desert scrub, allowing golfers to open their shoulders and go for it with the driver. Once in play, elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers and well protected pins present quite a challenge and with cleverly designed run off areas around the greens, a solid short game is a must if your iron play is a little out of sync.

Each of the nine hole loops at La Paloma plays to a par of 36 and present a similar level of difficulty. Measuring between 3,460 and 3,554 yards from the championship tees, each course is long enough to challenge the very best golfers and with no less than five sets of tees on each hole, all golfers can find their comfort zone and enjoy this spectacular desert golf course.

Boasting well appointed, contemporary styled guestrooms, Westin La Paloma is perfectly placed to guarantee total comfort throughout your stay. If it weren’t for the endless adventure to be enjoyed on and around the resort, the Westin Heavenly beds would make it tough to get up in morning, such is the comfort they offer, and with Heavenly Baths, rainforest showerheads and deep soaking tubs, recharging the batteries after a day of exploration is a supremely relaxing experience. WiFi access allows you to stay connected and with private balconies you can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounded desert landscape.

For an added slice of luxury, the resort’s outstanding collection of lavish suites tick all the boxes with spacious living areas and luxury amenities ensuring the ultimate Tuscon experience.

When it comes to dining options, guests of Westin La Paloma are spoilt for choice. There are no less than eight places on resort from which you can grab a bit to eat or a refreshing drink, not to mention the convenient option of in-room dining. From the upscale, contemporary dining experience on offer at the AZul Restaurant, to the relaxed, country club atmosphere of the 19th Hole Clubhouse, there is something to suit all tastes. Enjoy an exciting fusion of fun, fresh and seasonal flavours at the Poppy Kitchens, a quick sandwich and salad at the Courtside Deli or a refreshing slice of watermelon at Sabino’s Swim Up Bar & Grill; the options are endless.

The Red Door Spa offers a variety of rejuvenating wellness, health, and beauty options that will help you recharge your batteries. Featuring eighteen private rooms and two tranquil outdoor spaces, as well as a eucalyptus sauna, heated Jacuzzi and European steam room, this is the place to come if you want to leave behind the stresses and strains of everyday life. You can also indulge in the experience of an in-room massage – choose from Signature Westin, Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage – in the privacy and comfort of your own room.

Those with a sporty disposition can work up a sweat in the excellently equipped fitness centre, with a few sets of tennis, or with a few lengths in one of five swimming pools.
