    Woodenbridge Golf Club

Woodenbridge has remained under the radar of most golfers who visit Ireland's east coast, but while the great names around Dublin and County Kildare attract the lion's share of the attention, this Wicklow gem is an undiscovered delight.

The par 72 layout is a serious challenge, even for highly skilled players, but the beauty of Woodenbridge is that it can be enjoyed equally by the average golfer. Dubbed ‘Ireland's Augusta', the course was formed into a full 18-hole layout in 1994, but the two halves gelled instantly to form an astonishing course.

Into Ireland's golfing landscape are tucked some extraordinary hidden gems, and if you delve deep the results can be astonishing. Woodenbridge is the perfect example of heading off the beaten path to find a real golfing delight.
