Durham Rugby Club & Your Golf Travel

As some of you will know thanks to an article in Podium magazine, Your Golf Travel CEO, Ross Marshall, was a keen and proficient rugby player up until the end of his time at Durham University. His interest in the sport has seen him play in the back row for his local club, Harlequins, and Durham University Rugby Club. Ross flirted with becoming a professional player but realised his future lied elsewhere and thus Your Golf Travel was born! Obviously Ross feels a certain attachment to the rugby club that saw him through his university years and as such we are proud to be an official sponsor of the club.

Durham University Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest sporting clubs in the University, dating back to the foundation of the University in 1832, and has a proud tradition, with many successes in the UAU and BUSA competitions. Many international players have come through DURFC including England captains Phil de Glanville and Will Carling to name but a few. Surely with the mighty Your Golf Travel in tow this production of top class rugby players is set to continue for many years to come!

Durham University field four competitive teams ranging from the 1st XV, which competes in the BUCS Premier Division, to the Freshers team – an integral part of the club, which plays Saturday fixtures throughout the season.
