Golf is a chance for us to get away from it all, stroll around the fairways and take in some fresh air. Well, the air doesn’t get much fresher than the mature Sussex countryside which surrounds the stunning South Lodge Hotel & Mannings Heath Golf Course.

As one of the finest country estates in the UK, South Lodge provides an unforgettable experience and a level of service which is the envy of golf resorts across the globe. With a fusion of old and new combining with this period property, you’ll be met with wood panelled walls and Bose sound systems, despite these vast contrasts, they’ve been places together perfectly with old meeting new to create a luxuriant stay.

You’ll be pleased to note that the luxury doesn’t stop when playing golf at South Lodge. With 36 holes to enjoy, Mannings Heath is a terrific test of golf. With the more modern design of the Kingfisher Course complimented perfectly with the undulations and immaculately conditioned Waterfall Course. The latter is considered by many to be one of the best in the county with challenging driving matched by thoughtful design which draws comparison to, in my opinion at least, the Edinburgh Course at Wentworth.

Whilst the golf will draw many to this golf resort, it is fantastic to say that your enjoyment doesn’t end there. With South Lodge award winning cuisine to enjoy, guests can enjoy stunning dining opportunities with locally sourced produce combining to create memorable dishes.

For anyone hoping to get away from it all, South Lodge and Mannings Heath Golf Club provides a stay which will live long in the memory. Whether you are a first time golf holiday maker or a seasoned traveller, make your way over to this Sussex treat and enjoy a fantastic break.

Have travelled far and wide to be able to contribute to the 19th hole blog. Often referred to as one of the most boring people in golf due to my facts and figures about different destinations!

Have stayed at South Lodge- Mannings Heath on a Sunday-Monday offer break.
Hotel is great…roof-top room was perfect…food and service excellent..no problems at all. Golf on Kingfisher course in the rain was awful. Flat uninteresting..little challenge ..no decent scenery…greens ok.
Waterfall course much more challenging. Hilly in parts..well kept..good greens. Good value break..but we’d play Waterfall twice next time
