Gleneagles’ new clubhouse underway

By October 28, 2010No Comments

The Gleneagles Hotel is undergoing major refurbishment of the famous Dormy Clubhouse, which is situated next to the 18th greens of the King’s and Queen’s courses. The AA Five Red Star Perthshire  resort  recently began the £2.5m project, which expected to be finished in April next year.

The project is part of an ongoing development programme for Gleneagles and follows the £18m investment since 2007 – ensuring that the facilities remain at the forefront of the luxury hotel industry in Scotland and beyond.

Golfers will be able to use alternative clubhouse facilities during the closure, including the restaurants within the hotel. Transport will also be provided throughout the Perthshire property to ensure that golfers have easy access to the courses.

Plans and artists impressions are to be put on public display in the Dormy Clubhouse, before it closes, to illustrate what the new facility will look like – including a brand new restaurant and improved changing facilities for golfers.
