Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa – South Carolina

The iconic South Carolina complex is situated right on the doorstep of a white sandy beach. Not only that, it is accessible from the airport and it is located just adjacent to the Port Royal Plantation Golf resort. The region has three championship golf courses on offer to play including the Barony Course, Planters Row Course and Robbers Row Course.

Each course has its own unique element and they are well worth a round. Robber’s Row occupies historic civil war land and there are landmarks and points of interest dotted around the estate. Planters row is one that will get the brain working. It’s narrow and challenging with water coming into play on 10 of the 18 holes. It has also been host to a Senior’s PGA Tour event.

Finally, Barony was the first course to be built on the island early in 1960. For those who like to pull out the big stick then this course will suit but it will prove a challenge around the difficult greens.
