Guadalmina Golf Resort opened for play in 1959, which believe it or not, makes it the second oldest golf course on the south coast of Spain. The resort is found in the heart of the Costa del Sol. If stunning views combined with championship golf are what you look for in a golf break, Guadalmina will tick the boxes. The resort spans the Mediterranean sea which glistens in the Spanish sun. But don’t let it distract you, there are plenty of strategically placed bunkers waiting…

Top 100 Ranking

The South Course at Guadalmina was remodelled in 2002 and is ranked in the Top 100 courses in Spain. This challenging layout measures over 6600 yards from the back tees and demands accuracy.

Guadalmina 36 Hole Resort

The South Course is the main attraction at Guadalmina, however do not turn down a round on the North Course. A more gentle track, The North will suit a variety of golfers. There is also the short academy course on-site too, ideal for beginners and junior golfers.

Guadalmina Resort is located between Gibraltar and Malaga and situated on the beach. There is a superb spa in the hotel too, making this an ideal holiday destination for those looking for some R&R!

Ladies European Tour

The Ladies European Tour are heading to Guadalmina in November 2020 to play the ‘Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open De Espana’. The back 9 on The South is where the course really comes alive. Be sure to look up the signature hole, the 14th, which is banked by mature pine trees and protected by strategically positioned bunkers. It’s a beauty.

I grew up with the game, a competitive younger sister of a golf mad brother. Dabbled in greenkeeping, now managing content at Your Golf Travel. Still can't putt.
