What to make of the start of the 2015-16 PGA Tour season? Five tournaments, five first-time winners – and among those, rookies Emiliano Grillo, Smylie Kaufman and Peter Malnati. Hard to know where to look right now, with the amount of new talent on show.

Still, an old-timer did us a turn last week (after several weeks of hitting the woodwork) when David Toms placed at 50/1, so our tails are up. Finding a winner this week is easy, trust us!

Mexico’s El Camaleon GC is the venue this week, and it’s one that tends to roll over for players of this calibre. As long as the weather behaves – there is rain forecast but that just makes the greens more receptive – then this is shooting fish in a barrel. The players who can keep firing at pins will be rewarded by a heap of birdie chances. The last two winners, Charley Hoffman and Harris English, were -17 and -21 respectively at the end of the week.

The key is not length but putting the ball in the right spot – old timers Jerry Kelly and Fred Funk both made the top ten last year, which gives you an idea of what’s required.
