LAHINCH OLD COURSE
Ideally situated literally a stone’s throw from the town from which its name is derived, Lahinch is home to two amazing golf courses, as well as ample practice facilities and a fantastic clubhouse, but it’s the Old Course that really gets golfer’s blood pumping. Like Ballybunion, which is located further south on the other side of the Shannon estuary, Lahinch is set amongst the dunes that dominate this stretch of the south west coast and with famous names including the likes of Dr Alister MacKenzie having sprinkled his magic dust on its fairways, you’re assured a world class test of golf at Lahinch.
Dr Alister MacKenzie on Lahinch
It will make the finest and most popular course that I, or I believe anyone else, ever constructed.
