The National Golf Club Challenge

The week after the Open Championship at St. Andrews, we will see the largest golf event ever to take place in the UK. The National Golf Club Challenge will see golf clubs from across the UK compete to raise funds for the fantastic Help for Heroes charity. With numerous clubs already signed up for this great event we are expecting thousands of golfers to be competing over this weekend as they do battle to become the National Golf Club Challenge Champions for 2010. The format is very simple, the challenge will coincide with your clubs monthly stableford and each club will submit their aggregate scores from the top-10 players, the top 6 clubs will then be invited to compete in the National final taking place at one of the UK’s premier golfing venues.

The National Golf Club Challenge Champions will win a week-long trip to Marriott Taba Heights while second place will win a golf break courtesy of Your Golf Travel.com, with numerous other prizes on offer from the likes of Titleist, Motocaddy, and YES! Golf those who make it to the National final will be playing for some fantastic golfing prizes.

The challenge is trying to get every single golfer in the UK playing on the same weekend with the sole aim of raising money for the excellent Help for Heroes charity. With competitions already organised for Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July 2010 this will bring hundreds of clubs and thousands of golfers together for a united cause in showing support for injured service personnel.

    Great idea and have to say that the Help for Heroes charity do some excellent work. My club has already signed up and I look forward to competing on 24th July 2010.
