The Open Championship has been and gone…congratulations to Zach Johnson on becoming Champion Golfer of The Year for 2015! While it’s a long old wait until we see the world’s finest golfers slugging it out for the Claret Jug again, we though we’d have a little look at The Open at St Andrews and break down some stats for you guys – here we go…

St Andrews has not been a happy hunting ground for British golfers over the last quarter of a century. Nick Faldo was the last British player to win the Claret Jug at St Andrews all the way back in 1990 and you have to go back to Jock Hutchinson in 1921 for the last Scot to win on home soil.
