Another 2 and bit weeks and counting… hopefully we’ll all have a little more freedom in the coming weeks as we get over the worst of Covid19 and it becomes safe for us to head back out and into the open.
Whilst we’re currently not able to mingle with friends in real life or walk the luscious green fairways that we all miss so dearly, there are a few things we as golfers can do during the lockdown to keep busy, improve our golf game and celebrate the sport.
So here’s our list of Top 5 Things To Do During Lockdown:
#1 Play golf online
Crack out the laptop and download World Golf Tour (WGT) to play the most famous golf courses around the globe, online! You can even go head-to-head with friends much like a real round. You might even find YGT Rory on there practising (as he got knocked out of the #StayAtHomeTour in the first round…

Rick from our Marketing team says ‘I found the game easy at first which is a good thing as it allows you to get into it, I holed out from a bunker twice while playing Pebble Beach! After a few rounds to build up experience I decided to try Royal St George’s from the white tees, what a difference, the greens are so tough I was struggling to save par on every hole!’
#2 Get involved in Prostate Cancer UK’s #StayPuttChallenge
Set up your own ‘Putt around the house challenge’, nominate three of your friends to do their own and donate to a great cause.

#3 Choose your #YGTGreatestShot photos
Has anyone else’s ‘screen time’ gone up quite considerably over the last few weeks? Why not scroll right back through all your photos and re-live your best memories. Choose your Favourite 3 golf photos and share them with us using the #YGTGreatestShot hashtag. We’ll re-post the best ones!
My personal collection of 3 favourites includes playing the 15th hole at Vale do Lobo in the Algarve before the sun started going down, playing out of a water hazard at Stoke Park during a match against YGT Rory and my brother lifting the County Championship trophy!
