Hotel Los Monteros is a stunning five-star resort situated in the heart of Spain’s golfing paradise. With the hotel only being a short drive away buzzing town of Marbella, fun on and off the golf course is never too far away as both top class dining facilities and picturesque beaches await those who come to visit.
Golf Courses on your door step
Located only a 5-minute drive away from the hotel is the spectacular Marbella Golf and Country Club. The course is a traditional championship layout designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones Senior, and provides both a testing but enjoyable round of golf. The 6th hole is considered to be the course’s signature hole with the long par five providing players with both a tempting but daunting approach shot as the water hazard in front of the green does more than just add to the aesthetics of the hole. After your round, if you feel like you have done enough “driving” for the day the clubhouse restaurant provides a magnificent sea view which is able to be admired from a choice of two shaded terraces. The Club House’s menu is the perfect accompaniment to a beautiful Spanish sunset.
Another incredible golfing opportunity can be found directly in front of the Hotel Los Monteros. Santa Clara Golf Club offers up a mixture of wide fairways and easy to read greens which allows players to have a pleasant round of golf in the glorious Spanish sunshine. The course is renowned for its 12th, 13th and 14th hole dubbed by the members as “Santa Clara Corner” as the par 4, 3 and 5 respectively test even the best golfer’s ability to hit the ball long and straight off the tee.
Things to do away from the course
However, golf is not all the Costa del Sol region of Spain has to offer. The Mediterranean Coast is lined with both beautiful serene beaches and lively beach clubs such as Ocean Club Marbella which is only a short 15-minute drive from the Hotel Los Monteros.
Furthermore, if you fancy carrying on the party late into the evening then Marbella also plays host to a plethora of nightclubs with best arguably being ‘Pangea’ and ‘Funky Buddha’.
Marbella is also packed full of fine dining opportunities ranging from traditional Spanish tapas which can be enjoyed at the likes of ‘El Salon’; a small restaurant in the centre of Marbella. If you wish to enjoy more than just the food head to the coastal restaurant of Le CocoRica as you are able to bask in the beauty of the Mediterranean coastline whilst enjoying your meal.
Ten minutes from central Marbella
Hotel Los Monteros is a 35 minute drive from Malaga airport and costs around (60-70 euro). The hotel is also only a ten-minute drive (10-15 euro taxi) from the centre of Marbella which allows you easy access to an array of beach activities, restaurants and much more.
